VINCENT MATUSCHKA
About
Vincent Matuschka is a mixed-media artist who explores the chaos of life, focusing on contradictions and simple, profound questions like “What is life about?” and “What do we want?” Infused with humor and play, Matuschka’s work challenges norms, pushing boundaries to explore the uncharted. Through the aesthetics of bureaucracy, stereotypes, and formal structures, he frames seemingly safe spaces, exposing cracks and contradictions. By embracing chaos and using various mediums, Matuschka reveals unexpected possibilities. While painting remains central to his practice, it serves as just one tool in his exploration of a world that refuses to stay within the lines, inviting curiosity, challenge, and doubt.
Matuschka is a London-based artist. He completed his MFA at Goldsmiths University (2022–2024) and studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts (2019–2022). Matuschka’s work has been exhibited internationally, including a duo show at Wild Trumpets (London, 2025). Saatchi Gallery (London, 2024), Lewisham Art House (London, 2023), and Gallery Descher (Berlin, 2021). In addition to his artistic practice, he has curated exhibitions through AveMarie and organised studio visits with CuzStudios, fostering dialogue between artists across Europe.
